Western Saddles
The Western saddle is based on the ones used in cattle ranching in the United States. They are the "cowboy saddles" familiar to movie viewers, rodeo fans, and those who have gone on tourist trail rides. The design of Western saddles derives from the saddles of the Spanish vaqueros, the early cattle and sheep herders of Mexico and the American Southwest. The Western saddle has no padding of its own and must be padded with a saddle blanket in order to provide a comfortable fit for the horse. Taken from Wikipedia.

This is a quality 15" pleasure saddle by Rocky Mountain Saddlery which features good workmanship. The rigging can be set at 3 positions between 7/8 and ¾ and there is a good forward slope to horn to give more room. The saddle strings go through the saddle and tie directly to tree. It has a smooth padded seat which is good for long pleasure rides. This saddle is comfy! Saddle shown without saddle blanket on 17.1 hand horse. More details here.
